The era of wooden curtain boxes and metallic rails is fading off.
House owners are now opting for curtain rods considering their user friendly nature.
However just a few have done their fitting as it should be done.
Often I have been disappointment after hanging curtains on poorly fitted rods.
Here is a brief guide on how to go about it;
- Measure your window and mark the spots where the rods' brackets should be fixed....it should be 6 inches above the window and at least 4 inches out from each side of the casing. In the event that you wish to create an illusion of high ceiling, fix the rods touching the ceiling.
- Make sure all your measurements are even by using a tape measure.
- Use a drill and tighten the screws well
